1. Eligibility
The Best of Las Vegas Sweepstakes: Go For Gold is open only to legal residents of the United States in Nevada. All participants must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of entry (the “Entrant” or “Entrants”). Employees, independent contractors and interns of Las Vegas Review-Journal, Inc., (“Las Vegas Review-Journal, Inc.”), and each of their respective divisions, affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies (including, in each case, immediate family members) are not eligible to enter the Sweepstakes. For purposes of this contest, “immediate family members” is defined as spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as "in-laws", or entry by current or past marriage, remarriage, adoption, co-habitation or other familial extension, and any other persons residing at the same household location, whether or not related. In order to enter the Giveaway or win the prize, the Entrant must comply fully with these official rules (the “Rules”), and by entering agrees to be bound by these Rules and the decisions of Las Vegas Review-Journal, Inc., whose decisions shall be binding and final in all respects.

3. Agreement to Official Rules
Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein. By providing personal information, participant agrees to receive regular promotions and offers via email from The Las Vegas Review-Journal with the opportunity to opt-out. Personal information will not be shared with third parties and/or marketing partners. Prize restrictions may apply. Void where prohibited by law.
4. Sweepstakes Period
The Sweepstakes begins on April 2, 2017 at 12:00 a.m. and ends May 14, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. (the “Sweepstakes Period”). Entries that are submitted before or after the Sweepstakes period will be disqualified. Submissions will be accepted for the duration of the Sweepstakes using any of the following methods:

* Participants may enter once per method of entry per Sweepstakes Period. Any entries with missing or invalid information will automatically be disqualified. Following the conclusion of the Promotion, the winner’s name will be published in the Las Vegas Review-Journal in print and online.
6. Odds of Winning
Odds of winning are based on the number of participants; one (1) participant will be randomly selected as the prize winner.
7. Prize
One (1) entry will be randomly selected and will be the winner of the Best of Las Vegas: Go for Gold Sweepstakes. The total cash value of the prizes will be $40,151.95 and the entire list of prizes can be viewed below. Winner will have the option to accept the entire prize package or reject the entire prize package. In the result of the winner rejecting the prize package, a new winner will be randomly selected.
8. General
Winner will be announced on Wednesday, May 16, 2017.
All participants who provide an email address, which is not required, will receive a free thirty (30) day subscription of the of the Las Vegas Review-Journal eEdition if they choose to opt-in. The thirty (30) day subscription will begin no later than two weeks after the winner has been announced.
The decisions of Las Vegas Review-Journal, Inc. will be final as to all matters in connection with this promotion.
Taxes. Any valuation of the prize stated above is based on available information provided to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, and the value of any prize awarded to the winner may be reported for tax purposes as required by law. The winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable taxes related to the prize and paying any expenses associated with any prize, which is not specifically provided for in the official rules. The winner must provide the Las Vegas Review-Journal with valid identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any prize will be awarded. Any person winning over $600 in prizes from the Las Vegas Review-Journal will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS.
Potential Giveaway Winner must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release (the “Release”) in order to be eligible to accept the prize.
No substitution or transfer of the prize will be allowed, except at the sole discretion of Las Vegas Review-Journal, Inc. Las Vegas Review-Journal, Inc. reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. All local, state and federal taxes incurred by accepting a prize will be the sole responsibility of the Giveaway Winner
By entering this Giveaway, you agree (i) to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Las Vegas Review-Journal/Sponsor which are final and binding and (ii) if you are chosen as the winner, to consent to the use by the Las Vegas Review-Journal and its designees of your name, city and state of residence and photograph or likeness for advertising and Promotional purposes online and offline in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law. Entry materials that have been tampered with are void. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of an entrant, entry will be declared made by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address from which the entry was submitted and he/she must comply with these Official Rules. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses at the time the entry was submitted. Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and the Las Vegas Review-Journal in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Nevada without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Nevada, or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Nevada. In addition, any dispute relating to the Contest (including these Official Rules) shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal court having jurisdiction over the subject matter located in the City and County of Las Vegas. Entrants hereby irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction of said courts and waive any claim of forum non conveniens or lack of personal jurisdiction they may have. Contest materials are void if incomplete or if they contain errors. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Las Vegas Review-Journal, Inc, reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest should a virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Inc. control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the contest. Las Vegas Review-Journal, Inc., is not responsible for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL WILL DISQUALIFY ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL AND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
